My Coffee Journey

At the start of 2017 I started my new ventures when it comes to food. I used to sell yema cakes a delicious treat that melt in your mouth since 2015. A silent reader from groups and pages in Facebook I learn many things so that I can have extra income asside from my work as a call center agent.  I finished my online baking course through TESDA ( technical education and skills development authority).

Few months later I tried to enroll my self to a training center nearby accredited with TESDA to pursue my baking career unfortunately is always fully booked. Then I decided to enter the world of Barista.

At first I thought its a course about cocktails and mocktails that's why Im so excited. Til the first day of my training. When my beautiful proctor told us that its not about cocktails and mocktails. Yes you know how it feels like you expected something but its not it. So at first it was a super yay for me, though I love coffee don't get me wrong. I'm a coffee drinker like I can live with coffee as my favorite beverage asside from water.

In this fast paced training I enjoyed a lot of things. I found a new set of friends that lately I treat them as my family too and learn a lot more about coffee. How a simple cherry become a cup of coffee drink. Its a 20 days training. I learned how to prepare espresso and texture milk. How to serve and explain the coffee beverages that we offer. Lastly how to perform some basic maintainance with the tools and equipment, and perform basic cashiering.

A free training which offers a lot and I am thankful I was able to finish the said skilled course. I will be using this in the future. Maybe for business or for work purposes. I'm glad to tell you that I am now a certified barista! Another accomplishment for the year of 2017. Hoping more blessings to come.

Switching my World to Zero Waste

In this world its hard to achieve Zero Waste let us be honest. All of the countries nowadays are having issues with their trash. In my country itself I admit everything is packed in a plastic. From small candy wrapper to a big plastic bag of trash. Yes its a big deal if that is the case.

I have been reading and watching documentaries on how people switch to zero waste lifestyle. They also admit we cannot really switch to "ZERO" but we can minimize. We can help the nation but also help mother earth to gain back the beauty that it used to be.For the last 4 months of studying about zero waste, minimalism and veganism I guess I learn a lot and definitely there's a big impact to me. This is not only beneficial for me but also with the people around me and the nature it self.

Its hard from the if you will start big but if you do it slowly I know you will get use to it and it won't hurt you anyways if you will look on the brighter side. I am currently starting to switch to a zero waste lifestyle. Let's do it step by stepy definitely we can make it work if everybody will participate in minimizing their trash. Let us learn how to recycle.

You need to know first WHY you want to switch to a zero waste lifestyle, what are the things to consider before switching and when you are going to start this new lifestyle.

Know your WHYs, WHATs and WHENs..
